Herself Health is a value-based care organization, providing advanced primary care services to women 65 and older across the U.S. Data plays a central role in how Herself delivers high-quality care efficiently across its clinics, but the team needed to unify many sources, including medical records, labs, HIE, ADT, and claims data.
Herself's technology team, led by CTO Masoud Nourmohammadi, had deep experience building value-based care technology from companies like Strive Health and Oak Street Health. They knew that a modern data platform would be essential, but they also knew that building and maintaining the full healthcare data stack from scratch would pull resources away from the clinical and operational analytics Herself needed most.
Herself built its data platform on AWS, Snowflake, and Tuva. Tuva aggregates and harmonizes Herself's data sources into a unified longitudinal model enriched with clinical concepts, measures, groupers, and risk models. That foundation lets the team build analytics for care delivery, clinical operations, and value-based care without repeatedly rebuilding the same transformation logic.
A primary use case was the Daily Huddle dashboard, which gives clinical care teams relevant patient information before each day's appointments. The dashboard brings together data on chronic conditions, lab results, medication refill needs, gaps in care, documentation opportunities, recent ED visits, and acute inpatient visits.

Because the Daily Huddle depends on multiple sources and enriched clinical concepts, the Tuva Data Model was a natural fit. Herself built and deployed the application in a few weeks; without Tuva, the same work would have taken roughly 12 months.
Tuva also changed the economics of Herself's data platform. A comparable platform would have cost roughly $1M per year, while Herself operates its Tuva-powered platform with less than one FTE of ongoing operational effort. That lets the team focus on building advanced analytics and improving clinical workflows instead of maintaining data plumbing.
With Tuva at the core of the platform, Herself can continue expanding analytics applications for care teams, operators, and leaders while retaining control over its data model and warehouse-native infrastructure.

“We use Tuva as our population health data platform, and it is a key investment in our ability to succeed in value-based care.”
