Aligned Marketplace connects employees of self-insured employers with advanced primary care groups across geographies. Our national network is comprised of over 3,000 locations with coverage in all 50 states, giving employers and health plans broad access to high-quality advanced primary care. We enable value-based care by managing the data, reporting, integrations, and contracts between employers and providers. By making primary care highly accessible and delivering a great member experience at no or low cost, we help employers lower costs, providers deliver better care, and employees achieve healthier outcomes.
How did you discover Tuva?
I went to grad school with Tuva co-founder Aaron Neiderhiser and also worked with him at Health Catalyst. Like Aaron, I've experienced first hand the pain of re-building the healthcare data stack from scratch, so when I heard Aaron was building Tuva I knew it was something I was interested in using.
How are you using Tuva?
We get claims and clinical data from our employer and health plan customers. These data feeds come in all sorts of different formats and have various data quality problems and aren't ready to generate analytics from. We use Tuva to aggregate, quality-test, and enrich this data into a common data model so that we can easily generate analytics related to cost, quality, utilization, and outcomes. To take one specific example, we use Tuva to compute NCQA-certified HEDIS measures which are used to calculate shared savings in our risk contracts with providers.
What's the best thing about Tuva?
We don't have to waste time managing data transformation - Tuva's managed service takes care of this for us. We get analytics-ready data in the Tuva data model that is enriched and ready for analytics and downstream integrations.
