The data is fragmented, inconsistent, and often lacks the structure needed for analysis.
Tuva and Mathematica are partnering to solve that.
Mathematica is known for its rigorous analytics and evidence-based tools that support value-based care, chronic condition identification, and quality measurement. Tuva built the first open-source healthcare data model specifically for analytics. It’s already in use by 50+ health plans, ACOs, and provider systems across the country.
This partnership brings the two together.
Tuva will incorporate Mathematica’s algorithms directly into its open-source data model. That means organizations using either Tuva or Mathematica will be able to run industry-standard analyses without reinventing the data prep process every time.
For public agencies and research teams working with all-payer claims or commercial data, the impact is immediate: faster analytics, higher-quality insights, and no more time wasted stitching together incompatible data.
“Our mission is to democratize access to high-quality healthcare analytics,” said Aaron Neiderhiser, co-founder and CEO of Tuva. “This infrastructure should be free and open—especially for public health agencies with tight budgets.”
Mathematica has already begun deploying the Tuva model across its population health projects.
“This collaboration accelerates our ability to deliver real-time analytics that support better decision-making,” said Ngan MacDonald, Director of Data Innovations at Mathematica.
Together, Tuva and Mathematica are making it easier—and cheaper—for government and public health organizations to turn raw data into answers.
